Daily Herd Overview

Casual Game - Daily Herd

Daily Herd is a free daily party game from Herd Game where the goal isn't to be right — it's to think like everyone else. Every day, every player gets the same five quick questions, such as "What's always at the bottom of a bag?" or "What's the best streaming service?". You type the answer you think most people will give, and you score a point for every 1% of the herd that said the same thing. Then you get to see what everyone typed, from the top answers down to the one-of-a-kind ones. It's a solo, once-a-day take on the classic Herd Mentality party game, and it runs right in your browser with no download and no account.

Features

Five new questions every day — the same for every player, so you can compare scores with friends.

Real crowd scoring — your points come from what real players actually answered, not from a fixed answer key. Points can keep shifting until the day's herd closes.

Full answer reveal — see the top answers with percentages, then every answer people typed.

Spoiler-free sharing — "Share my herd" sends your squares and one of today's questions, never the answers. You can also save your result as an image.

A bonus question for tomorrow — after your five, there's one extra unscored question whose answers become the next day's Top Answers board, and you get a preview of tomorrow's first question.

Streaks — your streak is saved on your device; an optional free account keeps your scores across devices.

Reddit edition — a separate Daily Herd on Reddit (r/HerdGames) with five different questions.

Free, no download, no sign-up — plays in any modern browser on desktop or mobile.

How to Play

1

Start today's herd. Press "Play today's herd". Everyone gets the same 5 questions each day.

2

Type what MOST people would say. Keep it short — one or two words works best. There's no timer in the daily mode, so take a moment to think like the crowd.

3

Score with the herd. For each question you earn 1 point for every 1% of players who gave your answer. Typos, plurals and capital letters are counted as the same answer.

4

See the survey. After your five answers, "Survey says…" reveals the top five answers and their percentages for each question, and you can open the full list of everything people typed.

5

Get your result. You get a herd-points total, a colour square for each question and a title such as Total Sheep, Flockmate, Middle of the Herd, Free Thinker or Lone Wolf, plus how you did against today's players.

6

Come back tomorrow. A new herd starts every day at midnight UTC. Play daily to grow your streak.

7

Read the squares: 🟩 top answer · 🟨 on the board (top five) · 🟧 near · ⬜ rare · 🟪 unique.

Tips

Go for the obvious answer. The herd rewards the first thing most people think of, not the clever or the correct one. On Herd #142, "Netflix" for the best streaming service matched 77% of players.

Keep it to one or two words. Short, common wording ("crumbs", "microwave", "ads") is easier to group with other players' answers.

Don't worry about spelling. Typos, plurals and capitalisation are merged, so focus on the idea, not the exact text.

Think about who's playing. The herd is an online, mostly English-speaking crowd — picture what a typical player would type.

Check back later. More players join throughout the day, so your score can move a little before the herd closes.

Play every day. Your streak only grows if you play each daily herd.

Why play Daily Herd?

Daily Herd is quick to learn but surprisingly revealing: every question is a fast guess about other people, and the live crowd scoring means there is no answer key to memorize. Five new prompts each day, a full answer reveal and a result title like Total Sheep or Lone Wolf make every run a fresh test of how well you read the room.

Summary

“Daily Herd is a free daily party game where matching the crowd wins. Answer five quick questions the way most people would, score a point for every 1% who agree, and see whether you finish as a Total Sheep or a Lone Wolf.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Daily Herd free?

Yes. Daily Herd is free to play in your browser with no download. Herd Game says the games are free and nothing is locked behind a payment.

Do I need an account to play Daily Herd?

No. You can play without signing up. Your streak is stored on your device; a free account is optional and saves your daily scores across devices.

How many questions are in Daily Herd?

Five scored questions a day, the same for everyone. After them there's one optional, unscored question that feeds the next day's Top Answers board.

How is Daily Herd scored?

You get 1 point for every 1% of players who gave the same answer as you. If 18% of the herd said "crumbs" and you did too, that question is worth 18 points.

Is there a time limit?

Not in Daily Herd. You can take your time on each of the five questions. Herd Game's live multiplayer party mode is the one with a 30-second timer.

Do typos or plurals count?

They're counted as the same answer. Typos, plurals and capital letters are grouped together, so "Crumbs" and "crumb" land in the same place.

When does Daily Herd reset?

A new herd starts every day at midnight UTC (8:00 AM Beijing time). Scores can still shift until that day's herd closes.

Why did my score change after I finished?

Because more people keep playing during the day. Your points depend on what share of all players gave your answer, so they can move a little until the herd closes.

What do the result titles mean?

They describe how closely you matched the crowd, from Total Sheep (you are the herd) through Flockmate, Middle of the Herd and Free Thinker to Lone Wolf.

Who makes Daily Herd?

Daily Herd is made by Herd Game (herdgamesonline.com), a small independent collection of free browser games built by a developer called Ajey.
